During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, supported by national policies and local governments, the new installed capacity of distributed PV systems in the first half of 2024 surpassed that of centralized PV systems again, reaching 52.88 GW and representing 51.6% of total new capacity. This reflects a robust growth trend in the distributed PV market. In response to market opportunities and challenges, Solargiga Energy has launched a new model of module product application focused on scenario-based, refined, and differentiated solutions to address the needs of the distributed PV market. The Giga series TOPCon distributed modules have also been upgraded with innovative technologies.
Reliability Upgrading
This upgrade primarily focuses on enhancing the reliability of distributed modules to provide users with more stable and efficient energy solutions. The newly upgraded distributed modules from Solargiga Energy feature N-type technology and a symmetrical bifacial module design, significantly reducing the risk of subfissures and enhancing reliability.
Firstly, Solargiga Energy has invested significant R&D resources in technology and process development. The bifacial module design offers enhanced encapsulation and excellent weather resistance, making it particularly suitable for harsh environments, including coastal, hot and humid, and sandy or dusty conditions. Secondly, in terms of material selection, single-layer coating liquid glass is used to enhance the light transmittance of the module and extend its service life. This ensures excellent power generation performance in diverse environments, thereby maximizing benefits for end customers. At the same time, Solargiga Energy has optimized the module structure design and enhanced its mechanical strength to improve resistance to external impacts and vibrations. Additionally, the module has successfully passed the 25 mm hail impact test and mechanical load test, meeting IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 standards, thereby demonstrating its robust resilience to severe weather conditions, including salt spray and high humidity.
Application Upgrading
The lightweight application of Solargiga Energy’s Giga-N series distributed modules is a key highlight of this upgrade. The upgraded lightweight TOPCon distributed mono module features a compact design measuring 1,722 mm x 1,134 mm and achieves a conversion efficiency of 22.5%. While its performance matches that of conventional models, it weighs only 19.6 kg, facilitating easy installation and transport. This module is ideal for lightweight applications, including vehicle and ship roofs, industrial and commercial building roofs, residential tile-roofed houses, and electric vehicle roofs. Compared with 2.0 mm bifacial module products, the upgraded TOPCon distributed bifacial module offers a 15% weight reduction and achieves a conversion efficiency of 22%. Its design allows for electricity generation on both the front and back sides, leading the industry in module power.
Appearance Upgrading
The newly upgraded distributed products offer two options: all-black design and transparent backplane design. These options provide personalized choices for end users and enhance the visual experience in distributed energy applications. The all-black design features black porcelain glass on the back, black bus bar and black frame. This striking appearance gives the distributed modules a unique visual appeal and allows for seamless integration with various architectural styles, enhancing the building’s overall aesthetic and technological feel. The transparent backplane design features a highly weather-resistant encapsulation mode, ensuring optimal module performance while adding a sense of lightness and transparency to the building.
Driven by continuous innovation and meticulous product optimization, the upgraded Giga series distributed modules from Solargiga Energy will invigorate the distributed PV market and support broader applications and growth of the industry worldwide.
