Jinzhou Science and Technology Bureau (Jinzhou Foreign Experts Bureau) announced the list of projects to be approved as 2024 Jinzhou Science and Technology Projects. The “R&D of MES System and Lightweight Flexible Photovoltaic Modules” of Jinzhou Solargiga Energy Co., Ltd. under Solargiga Energy Holdings Limited (Solargiga Energy) was successfully included in the list.
The project was jointly developed by Solargiga Energy and Liaoning University of Technology, and underwent application, pre-review recommendation, review inspection, experts’ review, and review by Jinzhou Science and Technology Bureau Director’s Office Meeting and review by the Party Leadership Group. Strict control and layered screening were carried out to finalize the list. The publicity period of the list has expired, and the official project approval will be commenced soon.
As the core tool for digital management of modern manufacturing industry, the MES system is integrated with lightweight flexible photovoltaic modules, a highly promising photovoltaic technology, demonstrating Solargiga Energy’s forward-looking thinking and bold practical spirit in the field of technology research and development. The project aims to use the MES system to achieve refined management and optimization of the entire production process of lightweight flexible photovoltaic modules, and use digital means at various stages from raw material procurement, production process monitoring to product quality testing to improve production efficiency, reduce production costs, and ensure the stability and consistency of product quality, providing a valuable practical example for technological innovation and sustainable development in the photovoltaic industry.
In the second half of 2024, Solargiga Energy’s lightweight flexible photovoltaic modules were comprehensively upgraded to address multiple key demands in the market such as curvature and weight. The weight of the upgraded Solargiga Energy’s lightweight flexible photovoltaic modules is as low as 5 kg/m2, about 40% of the weight of conventional modules. In addition, these modules feature ultra-high flexibility, exhibiting no new micro-cracks even when bent to a curvature radius of 450 mm. They also show excellent performance of impact resistance, ensuring stable operation even during extreme weather conditions such as hail. The development experience of cutting-edge lightweight flexible photovoltaic modules has provided production practice experience and application cases for the “R&D of MES System and Lightweight Flexible Photovoltaic Modules” jointly developed by Solargiga Energy and Liaoning University of Technology.
