At the end of 2024, the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, released the public notice on the 2024 Green Manufacturing Factory List. Jiangsu Yueyang Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Yueyang Base”) under Solargiga Energy Holdings Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Solargiga Energy”) was successfully included in the “National Green Factory” list, which has now officially passed the public review phase.
Since its establishment in 2019, Yueyang Base has actively adopted new processes and technologies, and built industry-leading automation standards and advanced intelligent production lines to maximize resource advantages. By virtue of consistent outstanding performance, Yueyang Base has earned multiple national/provincial honors including Provincial Industrial Internet Platform, National Smart PV Pilot Demonstration Enterprise, one of Jiangsu’s first carbon peak/neutrality pilot enterprises, Yancheng Mayor’s Quality Award etc. Its annual production capacity will reach 18GW (including 10GW under construction), making it the largest module production base of Solargiga Energy by then.
Green production is a distinctive feature of New Quality Productive Forces and the core orientation for high-quality development. Yueyang Base has achieved outstanding results in its green development journey: On one hand, it has widely adopted automated production equipment, utilizing industrial internet and wireless networks to achieve full-process automated monitoring of products in major production processes; on the other hand, it built a BIPV PV power station on the factory roof to support self-sufficiency in daily production and life, effectively reducing reliance on traditional energy sources, further cutting carbon emissions, and practically achieving green production goals.
Solargiga Energy’s green concept extends not only within each production base but also to the entire supply chain system. The green supply chain serves as a critical driver for transformation to low carbon. Solargiga Energy has established a comprehensive green supply chain system, integrating environmental protection and resource conservation principles throughout the entire process: from product design to raw material procurement, and further to packaging and logistics. Moreover, it actively shares green technologies and management experience with suppliers, working together to build a green supply chain for the PV industry.
The inclusion of Yueyang Base in the 2024 Green Manufacturing Factory List marks another milestone achievement for Solargiga Energy (following Jinzhou Base’s accreditation as a national green factory) in the field of green manufacturing.
