Recently, Asia’s largest Wind Power-PV Integrated Project — the 4GW Wind Power-PV Integrated Project in Nileke County by CGDG Xinjiang Zhonglv Electric Technology, has achieved another milestone by successfully connecting the second-phase 1GW PV capacity to the grid. As a key module supplier, Solargiga Energy Holdings Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Solargiga Energy”) provided its Giga-P series 660W/665W bifacial modules for this 1.1GW project phase by virtue of its excellent technology and product strength.

The Shinning “Blue” Upon White Snow
In the vast expanse of Xinjiang, Nileke shines like a pearl favored by the nature. Surrounded by mountains and crisscrossed by canyons, it stands as a precious oasis amidst the vast desert in Xinjiang, radiating unique vitality and charm. Nileke, true to its meaning in Mongolian — “infant”, embodies the boundless tenderness and nurturing of this land.
Amidst the snow-capped mountains in Nileke, a shinning area of blue quietly rises atop the white snow. Since the commencement of the project phase II in May 2024, it has faced a complex situation of concurrency in land acquisition, engineering, procurement and construction, bringing about extreme difficulties in management. Solargiga Energy was well aware of the tight schedule and heavy tasks, so it made every effort in the supply. Relying on a mature supply chain system, it meticulously organized production to ensure that in just 5 months, PV modules were delivered to the project site on time and in full, perfectly in line with the overall schedule.
Dancing “Green” Amidst the Gobi
Solargiga Energy provided a total of 480MW Giga-P series bifacial 660W and 665W modules for the Project. From the power generation efficiency perspective, compared to traditional modules, the 660W/665W high-power design can capture significantly more solar energy per unit area, enormously improving power generation efficiency and delivering substantially higher electricity output for the Project. In terms of stability, the modules are subject to advanced bifacial encapsulation technology and have excellent anti-PID (potential induced degradation) performance. Whether under scorching heat, freezing cold, or sandstorm-ridden severe weather, Solargiga Energy’s PV modules can maintain uninterrupted operation on this Gobi terrain, ensuring uninterrupted and reliable power supply, and reducing O&M costs and risks.
The PV modules for the Project, meticulously crafted by Solargiga Energy, serve as the Project’s “green heart,” empowering the construction with high efficiency and stability. Once barren expanses have now transformed into energy-rich land pulsating with green vitality. After the Project is fully completed, it can output 5.8 billion kWh of clean electricity to the power grid every year, equivalent to saving about 1.73 million tons of standard coal, and reducing carbon emissions by 4.72 million tons. It will inject great impetus into the realization of China’s carbon peak/neutrality strategic goals, Xinjiang’s energy transformation, and the construction of the electric power market.
“Light” Thriving in Extremely Cold Region
CGDG Xinjiang Zhonglv Electric Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Xinjiang Zhonglv Electric”) is a second-level subsidiary of China Green Development Investment Group Co., Ltd. (CGDG).
