Solargiga Energy made the module supplier to the Transnational Corporation Atlas Copco for its rooftop solar system

Chachoengsao(TH), 30 Mar, 2023/ In March 2023, the rooftop solar generating system of the transnational corporation Atlas Copco Thailand, located in the Chachoengsao Province, was officially commissioned. The entire system uses high-efficiency solar modules provided by Solargiga Energy Holdings Limited (referred to as “Solargiga Energy”), with a total capacity of approximately 700KW.

As a time-honored module manufacturer, Solargiga Energy attaches great importance to further explore the markets in Thailand and even the entire Southeast Asian. The power generation project is to install a rooftop solar generating system for the office building of Atlas Copco Thailand located in the Wellgrow Industrial Estate. The built up system is powered by Solargiga Energy’s JMPV-X1/72-545~555(R) high efficiency modules. Atlas Copco was founded in 1873 and is a global industrial group company.

Once the system is put into use, solar energy will power up part of the electricity consumption in the building. It is expected to provide approximately 600,000 kilowatt-hours of PV power per year. Solargiga Energy has practiced its philosophy of “long-term reliability and sustainable development” with actions, helping the Southeast Asian market achieve higher installed capacity of solar energy.

As an emerging solar market in Southeast Asia, Thailand is the second largest economy in the area with an average annual sunlight exposure of about 1200-1400KWh/square meter, making it suitable for solar energy development. With advantages such as tariffs and operational costs, the global status of the Southeast Asian PV market is becoming increasingly prominent. The International Renewable Energy Agency previously pointed out that the Southeast Asian region has sufficient sunshine and abundant solar resources, which endow the region with inherent advantages for the development of PV power projects. It is estimated that by 2050, the annual average increase in installed capacity of PV power generation in ASEAN countries will reach 64GW.

Solargiga Energy has established a long-term and stable customer base in Thailand, providing customized procurement channels and specialized sustainable solutions for local customers. In the future, its presence in Thailand and other Southeast Asian countries will perform as a “springboard” to the company to continuously expand its business in the overseas PV market and implement its globalization.
